Funeral services for Martha Ann Brown, 76, of Hopkinsville, were held on Friday, Oct. 26, 2012, at Cedar Grove Baptist Church. The Rev. James Dunbar officiated. Burial followed in the Church Hill Baptist Church Cemetery. Gamble Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Martha Brown died of natural causes at 2:47 a.m. on Saturday, Oct. 20, 2012, at Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville.

Martha Brown was born on Jan. 16, 1936, in Christian County to the late Charles Vaugh and Mary Thomas.

She was employed by Hopkinsville Golf and Country Club where she worked as a cook.

She is survived by two sisters Luella Watkins and Sinnie Osborne, both of Hopkinsville; three daughters, Sharon Brown Catlett, Laura Brown Knight and Allison Brown all of Hopkinsville; two sons, Herbert Brown (and wife Lorrie) of Hopkinsville and Phillip Brown (and wife Vicky) of Memphis, Tenn.; 16 grandchildren and 25 great-grandchildren.
