Mr. Sholar died on Wednesday, Oct. 17, 2012, in New Orleans, La.
He was born on June 20, 1953, to Geroge Vanta Sholar II and Vesta Stamps Sholar.
Ralph Sholar was a 1972 graduate of Trigg County High School. Ralph was a retired U.S. Army Sergeant, administrator, educator and businessman. He was a member of Second Baptist Church of Cadiz.
He is survived by his wife, Erica Stafford Sholar; four sisters, Beulah Wesley of Louisville, Dorothy Hopson of Cadiz, Loretta Howard and Jeanette Aromin, both of Frankfort; one brother, George Sholar of Louisville; three daughters, Delaney Sholar and Courtlyn Sholar, both students at Southern University at Baton Rouge, La.; and Alexandria Hill of Miami, Fla.; one aunt, Louise Wimberly of Hopkinsville; and a host of additional family members.
