Milton Turner died of natural causes at 7:10 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 1, 2012, at Kline Hospice Center in Mount Airy, Md.
He was born on Dec. 14, 1941, in Golden Pond to the Olin Edward Turner and Dorothy Newberry Turner.
Ret. Col. Turner was retired from the United States Army having served 26 years. During which time he served during the Vietnam Conflict. He also retired as a consultant for the health care industry. He was of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his father, Olin Edward Turner.
Survivors include his wife Margaret Turner of Keyser, W. Va.; his mother, Dorothy Turner of Murray; one sister Sherry Huddleston (and husband Larry) of Cadiz; two sons, Todd Turner (and wife Stephanie) of Centerville, Md. and Mark Turner (and wife Gail) of Waterford, Va.; one brother-in-law, Ramey Cunningham of Cadiz; and three grandchildren, Josh, Casey Elizabeth and Jacob Turner.
Serving as pallbearers were Jim Allen, Chris Farmer, Kendall Farmer, Devan Farmer, Jim Wallace and Ramey Cunningham.
Music was provided by Michael Cunningham, vocalist and Clay King, pianist.
