Funeral services for Thelma “Louise” Wimberly, 87, of Hopkinsville, were held on Friday, Nov. 16, 2012, at Gamble Funeral Home in Hopkinsville. The Rev. Henry Russell, Jr. officiated. Burial followed in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West. Gamble Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Thelma Wimberly died of natural causes at 12:28 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 13, 2012, at Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville.

She was born on April 4, 1925, in Trigg County to Owen Maxie Stamps and Lillie Greenwade Stamps Bacon.

Thelma was a homemaker and a member of Corinth Baptist Church where she had served as an usher and past choir member.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Owen Stamps and Lillie Stamps Bacon.

Thelma is survived by her husband, Oma Wimberly of Hopkinsville; and two grandchildren.
