Graveside services for William “Bill” Sills, 65, of Hickory, N.C., formerly of Cadiz, will be held at 1 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012, at East End Cemetery in Cadiz. Visitation is scheduled from 10 a.m. until 12 noon on Saturday, Nov. 24, 2012, at Goodwin Funeral Home. Goodwin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Sills died of natural causes at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday, Nov. 8, 2012. at Palliative Care Center and Hospice of Catawba County in Newton, N.C.

William Sills was born on July 30, 1947, in Cadiz to Andrew M. and Martha Burnett King Sills, Jr.

He had worked as a construction lumber salesman in Bristol, Tenn., and was of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents Andrew M. Sills, Jr. and Martha Burnett King Sills; one brother, Thomas Michael Sills; and one sister, Betty Lou Collier.

William is survived by his wife, Patricia Hoyle, of Hickory, N.C.; three brothers, Andy Sills of Overland Park, Kan., John K. Sills of Fort Lauderdale, Fla. and James Robert Sills of Hopkinsville; three sisters, Frances Kay Tolsma of Clearwater, Fla., Martha Ann Cox of Bowling Green and Nancy June Yates of Bowling Green; two sons, John Sills of Bowling Green and Chad Sills of Abingdon, Va.; and two grandchildren.
