Don Richardson died of natural causes at 4:47 p.m. on Sunday, Nov. 18, 2012, at his home.
He was born on Nov. 14, 1936, in Bowling Green to the late Haskell Wendell Richardson and the late Martha Elizabeth Cole Tate.
Don was retired from Auburn Hosiery Mill in Auburn after 20 years of service. He was the owner operator of Bears Lawn and Repair in Cadiz. Don was an Army National Guard veteran, a member of the Franklin Simpson Bass Club and a member of the Auburn Rural Volunteer Fire Department for 25 years. He was of the Baptist faith.
He is survived by his wife of 58 years, Shirley Richardson of Cadiz; one son, Donald Cole “Rick” Richardson, II (and wife Betsy) of Clarksville, Tenn.; one daughter, Terry Laster (and husband David) of Murray; five grandchildren, Michael Laster of Murray, Ashlee Baggett of Clarksville, Tenn., Dana Crass of Murray, Carlee Darnell of Clarksville, Tenn. and Hunter Richardson of Clarksville, Tenn.; and five great-grandchildren, Troy Crass of Murray, Baylee Baggett of Clarksville, Tenn., Hayden Crass of Murray, Logan Darnell of Clarksville, Tenn. and Drew Baggett of Clarksville, Tenn.
Serving as pallbearers will be John Law, Bill Pedigo, David Jennett, Joe Wolfe, Jimmy Insco and Randy Yokley. Honorary pallbearers are Michael Laster, Anthony Baggett, Hunter Richardson, Robert Crass and Daniel Darnell. Music will be provided by Clarissa King, pianist.
