On weekdays, the Cerulean Post Office would be open from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m, and on Saturdays it would continue to be open from 10 a.m. to noon. Currently, its weekday hours are 8 – 11:30 a.m. and noon – 3:30 p.m.
On weekdays, Gracey’s Post Office would be open from 9 a.m. – 1 p.m. and Saturdays it would continue to be open from 9:30 – 11:30 a.m. Its current hours are 8 a.m. – 12 noon and 1 – 4 p.m. on weekdays.
Walton said that final approval has not been given to those amended hours and they would not be in effect until after the holidays – at the very least, after Jan. 12 – in order to accommodate customers during what is a hectic time of the year.
“The Postal Service has established a review process for the certain Post Offices known as the POST Plan,” said USPS Operations Programs Specialist Phil Ventura, in sample of a survey that was provided to The Cadiz Record.
Walton said they will likely decide to cut back hours instead of shutting down at both local post offices after hearing the concerns of rural Post Office customers, whose surveys influenced the decision in question.
