Raymond Parrish died of natural causes at 7:40 p.m. on Friday, Nov. 23, 2012, at his home in Cadiz.
He was born on Feb. 19, 1936, in Christian County to Sylvester Lee and Lois Mae P’Pool Parrish.
Raymond Parrish was a farmer. He was a member of Salem Baptist Church and attended Living Hope Baptist Church. He was also a United States Navy Veteran.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one brother, Earl Parrish; and two sisters, Dorothy Monroe and Thelma Whitaker.
He is survived by his wife, Susan Diane Hart Parrish of Hopkinsville; two brothers, J.E. Parrish and Jewell Parrish, both of Cerulean; one son, Edward Lee Parrish of Hopkinsville; one daughter, Melissa Curtis (and husband Dale Jr.) of Cadiz; five grandchildren, Brittany Gipson, Bethany Dillard, AJ Dillard, Jesse Parrish and Melinda Parrish; and two great-grandchildren, Alyssa Danielle Meredith and Colby Ray Gipson.
Serving as pallbearers will be Andy Shepherd, Jimmy Shepherd, Mark Hudson, David Ginn, Tim Ginn, Eddie Hart, AJ Dillard, John Meredith and Billy Ray Parrish.
