The purpose of the competition is to increase environmental awareness and stimulate creativity. All bottles, cans, paper and plastic we throw away can provide ample materials for students’ works of art.
Any child who is a resident of or attend school in the county in the Regional Recycling Corporation area can participate through their school and win prizes. Each school may enter their top three winners per division (lower elementary K-2, upper elementary 3-5, middle 6-8 and high school 9-12). Home school students can also enter.
Trigg County competitions will be Dec. 5, at the middle school library. All sculptures should be entered by 8:15 a.m. They will be judged that day and the top 3 in each school division will go onto the Regional Judging on Dec. 7 in Caldwell County.
