Christine Cain died of natural causes at 9:33 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 26, 2012, at Lourdes Hospital in Paducah.
Christine was born on April 22, 1946, in Lakeland, Ga., to the late Fred Pruitt and Sadie Inez Carter Pruitt.
She was a member of Canton Baptist Church where she was also a member of the Bereavement Committee. Christine was a member of Ms. Fits Relay for Life Team and a member of the Relay for Life Planning Committee. In addition, she was a volunteer with the Trigg County Hospital Auxiliary. Christine retired from Johnson Control.
In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her husband, Ronnie Cain; three brothers and three sisters; and her mother-in-law, Evangeline Cain.
Christine is survived by one brother, John Pruitt of Lakeland, Ga.; four sisters, Diane Montague (and husband John) of Valdosta, Ga., Evelyn Bennett (and husband Sonny) Adel, Ga., Martha Jean Solomon of Nashville, Ga. and Waulden Newbern of Waycross, Ga.; one son, Brett D. Cain of Cadiz; one daughter, Cyndi Broyles (and husband Doug) of Gainesboro, Tenn.; one brother-in-law and one sister in-law, James Harold and Nelda Cain of Draffenville; four grandchildren, Alex and Ashley Cain of Bowling Green, and Peyton and Morgan Broyles of Gainesboro, Tenn.; special friends, Ford Family and Friends and Ms. Fits; special family, Mallory and Peyton Taylor and Todd, Clarissa, Jonathan and Macey King; special companion, Sassy; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers were Leon Bland, Doug Taylor, Peyton Taylor, Grover Oakley, Todd King, Greg Mitchell and Lee Ford. Music was provided by Betty Oakley, pianist, and Mallory Taylor, vocalist.
