Scotty Gray died from injuries sustained in an automobile accident at 10:12 p.m. on Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2012, at Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tenn.
He was born on Dec. 4, 1964, in Cadiz to Bill and Carol Colley.
Scotty was a member of New Hope Baptist Church where he was a greeter and helped in preparing weekly church bulletins. He was also a former church trustee. He was employed at Metalsa in Hopkinsville. He was a member of the Cadiz Masonic Lodge No. 121, Western Kentucky Consistory 32nd Mason, Scottish Rite. He was an active volunteer with the Trigg County 4-H Livestock Club.
Scotty Gray is survived by his wife, Connie Clark Gray of Cadiz; his parents, Bill and Carol Colley of Cadiz; two brothers, Billy Colley (and wife Ellen) of Benton and Jonathan Gray of Marshall County; one sister, Charlotte Myers of Marshall County; one daughter, Taylor Gray of Cadiz; one son, Nathan Gray of Cadiz; grandmother, Louise Joyce of Cadiz; father-in-law and mother-in-law, Ronnie and Barbara Clark of Cadiz; two brothers-in-law, Ricky Clark (and wife Kennetha) of Cadiz and Matt Clark (and wife Bethany) of Cadiz.
Serving as pallbearers were Billy Colley, Ricky Clark, Matt Clark, Kenny Herndon, Ricky Turner, Joe Walker and Wes Little. Honorary pallbearers were The Adult Brotherhood of New Hope Baptist Church. Music was provided by Stacy Futrell, Russ Stallons and Kevin Terrell, instrumentalists and vocalists, and Amy Carneyhan, pianist.
