Kim Shafer died from injuries sustained in an automobile accident at 7:59 a.m. on Saturday, Dec. 8, 2012, at 795 Rockcastle Road, Cadiz.
Kim was born on April 23, 1994, on Fort Campbell to Charles Shafer and Payom Shafer.
Kim was employed by Cracker Barrel of Cadiz, where she worked as a hostess. She was a student at Hopkinsville Community College and was a 2012 graduate of Trigg County High School.
She was preceded in death by her paternal grandfather, David Franzina; and paternal great-grandmother, Dorothy Miles.
Kim is survived by her father, Charles Shafer of Smithsburg, Md., her mother, Payom Shafer of Cadiz; three sisters, Brittany Shafer, Tiffany Shafer and Isabelle Shafer, all of Cadiz; paternal grandmother, Vicki Jackson of Salem Va.; maternal grandparents, David and Nookai Crawford of Hopkinsville.
Serving as pallbearers will be Jeremiah Coulter, George Crawford, Cody Dailey, Gene Coulter, Anthony Hill, Skip Howell and Stannard Nathan Phelps. Music will be provided by Paula Hill, pianist.
