Jason Strickland, who chairs the Trigg County Recreation Complex Board, said that when that group met Monday evening at the convention center. While discussing a job description for the position, he said they intend to interview the applicants and present some of those names to the Trigg County Fiscal Court at their 6 p.m. meeting on Monday.
At the meeting, current Complex Manager Eldridge Rogers raised a question about one of the job description’s “essential functions,” which is to oversee “the development and maintenance of complex property to include baseball and soccer fields.”
“There is another agreement with the Trigg County Board of Education, which says that the High School soccer field, everything inside the fence will be maintained by the Trigg County School System. Everything outside will be maintained by the Complex,” said Rogers. “Make sure there’s not a discrepancy.”
Board members agreed that the Complex Director is still overseeing that maintenance, even if the school district is in charge of the actual work.
