However, it may not open on March 1, as they have previously projected, but it will probably cost about $600,000, much less than the $1.2 million their architect – Johnson Johnson Crabtree Architects of Nashville, Tenn. – estimated. They’ve spent about $400,000 so far, he added.
“We have a lot of work to do here,” Lane said. “The drywall is progressing very well, that’s about the phase we’re at here, rough drywall.”
Lane says the purpose of the hard hat tour was to give the community a sense of what was going on with the building. TCH CEO Alisa Coleman said they were also celebrating the 60th anniversary of the hospital.
Coleman says the new center will allow the rehabilitation department to offer more services to patients, will include an expanded Primary Care Clinic and will allow three physicians or nurse practitioners to see patients at the same time, as there will be three separate patient care areas.
“We’re very excited about … expanding our services, and providing more services to the community,” Coleman said. “We’re anticipating quite a bit happening in the next month.
