Funeral services for Louise Sons Guess, 81, of Cadiz, were held on Saturday, Dec. 15, 2012, at Goodwin Funeral Home in Cadiz. The Revs. Danny Guess, Richard Sexton and Steve Guess officiated. Burial followed at Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Cemetery in Trigg County. Goodwin Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Louise Guess died of natural causes at 12:01 a.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 12, 2012, at Shady Lawn Nursing Center in Trigg County.

She was born on Oct. 22, 1931, in Trigg County to Lonnie R. and Eleanor Noel Sons, Sr.

Louise Sons Guess was a member of Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and she also retired from Wilkinson’s Department Store.

In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by two brothers, Lonnie Sons, Jr. and Malcolm Sons.

Louise is survived by her husband of 60 years, Joe B. Guess of Cadiz; one son, Steve Guess (and wife Joy H.) of Bowling Green; and three grandchildren, Austin and Carrie Guess and Logan Guess.

Serving as pallbearers were Logan Guess, James Walker Roberts, Jerry Sons, Jeremy Butts, David Guess, Jonathan Guess and Stanley Guess. Music was provided by the Dunn Family, vocalists, and Carolyn Stallons, pianist.
