In a Friday afternoon press release, Beshear says he will take his new office on Tuesday, Jan. 1,
Alexander says it will be up to Cadiz Mayor Lyn Bailey and the Cadiz City Council to find a replacement for him as the Cadiz Police Chief. He will serve the remainder of Humphries’ unexpired term, which ends in 2014.
“I’m deeply humbled that the Governor’s confidence in me,” said Alexander. “I look forward to continuing to serve Trigg County.”
