After that, Alexander will have only a few working days to prepare before the Trigg County Fiscal Court meets at 6 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 7. “I’m not 100-percent sure I can fill his (former Trigg County Judge Executive Stan Humphries) shoes, but I’m looking forward to the challenge,” he said.
No one has yet been chosen as a replacement for Alexander for the Chief of Police position. Cadiz City Clerk Lisa Rogers said the current plan calls for the Cadiz City Council to vote on a replacement Chief of Police when they meet at 6 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 8.
Cadiz Mayor Lyn Bailey said the City’s Personnel Committee is accepting resumes from within the Cadiz Police Department, and that interviews will likely be held this week.
Humphries was elected as the new District One State Senator, a position he officially took on Jan. 1.
