Funeral services for Lawrence “Larry” Carneglia, Sr., 75, of Cadiz, were held on Tuesday, Jan. 15, 2013, at Goodwin Funeral Home in Cadiz. Father Babu Joseph officiated. Burial with full military honors followed in the Kentucky Veterans Cemetery West in Hopkinsville.

Mr. Carneglia died of natural causes at 1:40 a.m. on Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013, at Shady Lawn Nursing Center in Cadiz.

He was born on April 27, 1937, in Philadelphia, Pa., to Orlando Louis and Anna Marmero Carneglia.

He was of the Catholic faith and had retired as an air conditioning and refrigeration tech. Larry was also a United States Army Veteran.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Orlando and Anna Carneglia.

He is survived by two sisters, Alberta Thim of Cadiz and Florence Enoch of Philadelphia, Pa.; one son, Lawrence Carneglia, Jr. of Orlando, Fla.; one daughter, Gigi Greaves of Orlando, Fla.; and three grandchildren. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society.
