Aside from dates, the contract remains much the same as the previous one, with the TCYAA and the Recreation Complex having the same duties. It runs from Jan. 1 of this year to Dec. 31, 2014, and allows the TCYAA to exclusively run all youth baseball and softball operations at the Complex.
The Complex Board had, at a previous meeting, removed language that would have allowed the TCYAA to “collect concession stand profits from two separate youth all star baseball and softball tournaments” but after input from the TYCAA, this language was reinstated.
Complex Board Chair Jason Strickland said those profits are put back into the Complex.
As in the previous contract, the TCYAA is responsible for registration, advertising, scheduling, handling disputes, and sponsorships and fundraisers among other duties, while the Complex is responsible for keeping the fields in playable condition, having the concession stand open at all league games and allowing the TYCAA to advertise on outfield fences, among other duties.
