Dear Mr. McGill:

The people of Cadiz/Trigg County are fortunate to have chosen a group of their fellow citizens to take responsibility for the community’s most precious resource and a key to its future – children and their educational opportunities.

They have agreed to serve this community because they care about your students and their futures. Their commitment to making every student proficient goes beyond the normal call of duty.

At each board meeting they review requests, review budgets and learn about the exciting things happening in your school district. Even with the restrictions placed on how dollars can be used, they always focus on what the best options are for students to become “College and Career Ready’ as well as the tools staff and administration need to make that happen.

Throughout January, Kentucky is engaged in the 18th annual observation of School Board Recognition Month. It’s our hope that the people of this community will take a few moments to learn more about the work of these friends and neighbors who bear tremendous responsibilities for the long-term success of the school system, and more importantly, for all of those children.
