Hazel Anderson died on Saturday, Jan. 12, 2013, in a Katy hospital in Katy, Texas.
Hazel was born on Aug. 13, 1928, in McVeigh to Nelson and Bertha Smith James. In April 1944, she married Herman Anderson in Alabama. She has lived in Fulshear for 17 years and was a member of the Needville Community Church. Hazel was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one granddaughter, Tracy Welle.
Hazel is survived by her husband, Herman Anderson of Fulshear, Texas; brothers and sisters; Nelson James, Jr. of Pikeville, Roy James of Ohio, June Harper (and husband Marshall) of Mayfield, Clyde James of Belfry, and Rhonda Smith of W. Va.; one daughter, Linda Davis of Cadiz; one son, David Anderson (and wife Donna) of Houston, Texas; two grandchildren, Alena Anderson and Douglas Davis; and three great-grandchildren, Zachary Welle, Benjamin Welle and Grace Davis.
