Private graveside services for Sharon Lloy Norton Crutchfield, 76, of Cadiz, were held at 2 p.m. on Thursday, Jan. 24, 2013, at Palestine Cemetery in Fulton. Richard Crutchfield and Scott Norton officiated. Entombment followed in the cemetery. King’s Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Sharon Crutchfield died of natural causes on Saturday, Jan. 19, 2013, at South Gate Nursing Home and Rehab in Metropolis, Ill.

She was born on Dec. 10, 1936, in Lincoln, Neb., to George N. Norton and Angeline Wilson Norton.

Sharon was a member of the Church of Christ and was the co-owner of Buffalo Auto Service in Delta Junction, Alaska. She enjoyed outdoors Alaska; spent time at the cabin on Clearwater River; her honest and friendly way with people was known by all who knew her. She was happy in life.

Sharon was preceded in death by her husband, Hershel Edward Crutchfield; parents, George N. and Angeline Wilson Norton; and one brother, Merlin Norton.

She is survived by one brother, Scott Norton of Tempe, Ariz.; one sister, Patti Norton Anderson of North Pole, Alaska; and numerous nieces and nephews.
