The five-year-old was flown to Vanderbilt University Medical Center in Nashville, Tenn., after he was taken from the scene of the accident – Sammy Gunn Road, near Delmont Church Road – by Trigg County EMS to a pre-established landing area nearby, said Dane Hughes of the Trigg County Sheriff’s Office.
At about 11:35 a.m., EMS was called to the scene of the accident, where a roll of hay that was being loaded off of a trailer had fallen about 8 feet down and landed on the boy, said Hughes, who didn’t have any other information.
No updates about the boy’s condition were available at press time.
