Geneva Childress died of natural causes at 8:40 p.m. on Sunday, Feb. 3, 2013, at her home in Cadiz.
She was born on Sept. 9, 1920, in Trigg County to Amos Milton and Vassie Morris P’Pool.
Geneva was a homemaker and was of the Pentecostal faith.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Jewell Glenn Childress; and four brothers, Herbert, Paul, Doug and Morris P’Pool.
She is survived by one brother, James P’Pool (and wife Margaret) of Princeton; one son, Amos Jewell Childress of Cadiz; daughters Shirley Bridges (and husband John) of Cadiz, Sinda Lou Fuesler (and husband Chris) of Cadiz and Lee Turner and Gwindal Martin of Cadiz; eight grandchildren Kennetha Bridges, Janice Bridges, Lanny Bridges, Kenny Bridges, Chandra Panther, Gary Higgins, Lisa Rogers and Tammy Cherry; great-grandchildren Lauren Fowler, Stephanie McAtee, Jamus McAtee, Justin Bridges, Wesley Panther and Linds Panther; great-great-grandchild Daylyn Allen; special friends Dianne Marlowe, Rebecca Sanders, Margaret P’Pool and Patty P’Pool.
Serving as pallbearers will be Lanny Bridges, Kenny Bridges, Gwindal Martin, Willie P’Pool, Kenneth P’Pool, Ricky P’Pool, Craig Fowler and Lacy Bush.
