Funeral services for Willie B. Cothran, 87, of Cadiz, were held on Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013, at Goodwin Funeral Home in Cadiz. The Rev. Albert Clardy officiated. Burial with full military honors followed in Trigg Memory Acres in Cadiz. Goodwin Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Willie Cothran died on Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2013, at Caldwell County Medical Center in Princeton.

Willie was a member of Delmont Baptist Church. He was a United States Nave veteran having served in WWII. He retired from TVA.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Thelma Ramey Cothran; his parents, Gentry “Red” and Minerva Dell Banister Cothran; two brothers, Sherman and John Cothran; and one son, David Cothran.

Willie is survived by one sister, Agners Paschall of Hazel; one son, Robert Calvin Cothran (and wife Robbie) of Cadiz; three daughters, Carolyn Choate (and husband Charles), Dorothy Edmondson (and husband Douglas) and Tammy Cothran, all of Cadiz; grandchildren Robin Anderson Summers, James Thomas Anderson, Larry Gale Anderson, Jr., Jeremy Allen Choate and Shane Douglas Edmonson; great-grandchildren Lucus Wayne Garner, Whitney Paige Garner and Dakota Pruett; and one great-great-grandchild, Olivia Faith Shelton.

Serving as pallbearers were Larry Anderson, Jackie Creekmur, Greg Creekmur, Mike Ramey, Derrick Ramey and Jeff Ramey. Music was provided by Delmont Baptist Church Choir, Stephanie Keller, pianist, Lucas Anderson.
