Henry Ladd died of natural causes at 2:45 p.m. on Saturday, Feb. 2, 2013, at Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville.
Henry was born on Jan. 14, 1924, in Stewart County Tenn., to the late Marion “Doc” Ladd and Seberlia Ladd.
He was a member of Rocky Ridge Baptist Church, where he was the oldest deacon. He was a retired self-employed concrete contractor.
Henry is survived by his wife, Roberta Wilson Ladd of Hopkinsville; five sons, Henry P. Ladd (and wife Martha) of Cadiz, Troy Ladd (and wife Debra) of Seymore, Ind., Simon Ladd of Hopkinsville, Michael Ladd of Gracey and Keith Ladd (and wife Barbara) of Dacula, Ga.; three daughters, Evelyn Baker (and husband Gene) of Indianapolis, Ind., Marie Civils (and husband Charles) of Dacula, Ga. and Rochelle Bush (and husband Michael) of Indianapolis, Ind.; 23 grandchildren, 37-great-grandchildren and seven great-great-grandchildren.
