Funeral services for Ronnie W. Dawson, 49, of Herndon, were held on Saturday, Feb. 23, 2013, at Goodwin Funeral Home in Cadiz. The Rev. John Herndon officiated. Burial followed in the Flat Lick Cemetery in Christian County. Goodwin Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Ronnie Dawson died of natural causes at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 19, 2013, at Signature Health Care Center in Memphis, Tenn.

He was born on Feb. 25, 1963, in Trigg County to the late Tom Nat Dawson, Sr. and Susie M. Dawson.

Ronnie Dawson was a United States Navy veteran and was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to his father, he was preceded in death by two nephews, Andy Dawson and Harvey Boren, Jr.

He is survived by his mother, Susie M. Dawson of Herndon; two brothers, Hank Dawson of Herndon and Tom N. Dawson of, Jr. of Dillsboro, Ind.; three sisters, Judy Nell Boren of Dillsboro, Ind., Debbie Sue Dunning of Hopkinsville and Virginia Hickman York of Lace Springs, Ala.; and several nieces and nephews.

Serving as pallbearers were Jeff Dawson, David Dawson, Stanley Dawson, Steve Dawson, Donald Dawson and Tom N. Dawson, III.
