Agnes Aleshire died on Saturday, March 2, 2013, at her home in Cadiz.
Agnes Aleshire was a charter member of New Light Baptist Church, where she served in the Women’s Missionary Union. She was a member of Goodwin Funeral Home’s Grief and Loss Family Support Group and she was a Kentucky Colonel. Agnes was a loving housewife and mother and enjoyed quilting and sewing.
She was preceded in death by her father Ernest Oliver, Sr. and mother Lula Agnes Oliver; first husband, Robert N. Hendricks; second husband, Clarence Aleshire, Jr.; brother, Buddy Oliver; two sisters, Kathleen Dalton and Hazel Redd; granddaughter, April Dawn Hendricks; and three great-grandsons, Jake Ryan Yates, Shawn E. Hardrick and Corbin Nowling.
Agnes Aleshire is survived by two sisters, Margie Nelums and Lucille Tumblison, both of Cadiz; two sons, J.L. Hendricks and Robert Gayle Hendricks, both of Cadiz; five daughters, Susie Hendricks of Cadiz, Mary Lou Cary of Hopkinsville, Barbara Holloway, Judy Mitchell and Lynn Adams, all of Cadiz; 21 grandchildren, Theresa Combs, Linda Woods, Tammy Petsch, Tracey Gresham, Samantha Gresham, Laura Hardrick, Janetta Travis, Chasity Jones, Jennifer Mitchell, Emily Mitchell, Jasmine Adams, Jade Adams, David DeHart, Eddie DeHart, Robert Knight, Michael Holloway, J.L. Hendricks, Jr., Hollis Hendricks, Bobby Hendricks, Timmy Hendricks and Andrew Mitchell; 53 great-grandchildren; 12 great-great-grandchildren; and special friend, Lisa Stallons of Cadiz.
Serving as honorary pallbearers were, Sonny Finley, Jerry Watkins, Raymond Stewart, Tommy Lyons, Corey Creekmur and Roy Dawson. Serving as active pallbearers were David DeHart, Eddie DeHart, J. L. Hendricks, Jr., Hollis Hendricks, Bobby D. Hendricks, Timmy Hendricks, Andrew Mitchell, Michael Holloway and Robert Knight.
