Funeral services for Irene Mary Allen, 84, of Cadiz, will be held at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, March 13, 2013, at Goodwin Funeral Home in Cadiz. Visitation is scheduled for Tuesday, March 12, 2013, after 4 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will follow in Trigg Memory Acres. Goodwin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Irene Allen died of natural causes at 4:53 p.m. on Sunday, March 10, 2013, at her home.

She was born on March 19, 1928, in England to the late Frank and Virginia Kent.

Irene Allen retired as a waitress. She had been employed by The Cadiz Restaurant for many years. Irene was of the Baptist faith.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by one brother, Frank Kent; and one grandson, Timothy Todd Allen.

She is survived by one brother, Mervin Kent of England; three sons, Terry Allen (and wife Donna) of Cadiz, Roger Allen (and wife Brenda) of Hopkinsville, James Ray Allen (and wife Debbie) of Cadiz; four daughters, Wanda Sue Allen of Cadiz, Gloria Berkley (and husband Kenneth) of Cadiz, Linda Morgan (and husband Jimmy) of Pembroke and Rita Barbee of Fla.; 14 grandchildren, 21 great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.

Serving as pallbearers are James Allen, Michael Morgan, Kevin Berkley, Mike Sieg, Jerry Sholar, Gary Allen, Derrek Kearney and Kenneth Kearney.
