On Wednesday, Feb. 13, 2013 Chapter 1730 of the National Active and Retired Federal Employees (NARFE) met at 10 a.m. in the Cadiz Senior Center with Chapter President, Richard Pauze presiding.

Guest Speakers of the Day were representatives of Trigg County Hospital, Mrs. Janet James, Director of Human Resources and Mrs. Karen Miracle, Director of Rehabilitation Services.

Mrs. James first showed a video presentation of the Physical Therapy Rehabilitation process that is offered at Trigg County Hospital. Karen Miracle said that Trigg Hospital has a new website where videos are available for viewing.

Most patients use the Rehab department on an outpatient basis. For patients who have had recent surgery but still require skilled care, the hospital offers a ‘Swing Beds” program.

A swing bed patient will receive therapy while in Trigg Co. Hospital until such time that the patient is deemed ready to return home. The hospital also provides speech therapy in addition to physical and occupational therapy.
