There were no services held for Brian David Gaffney, 62, of Cadiz. The family chose cremation. King’ s Funeral Home in Cadiz was in charge of the arrangements.

Brian Gaffney died of natural causes at 6:25 p.m. on Saturday, March 16, 2013, at his home.

Brian was born on Feb. 11, 1951, in Peoria, Ill., to the late Joseph Darwin Gaffney and Roberta Drury Gaffney.

Brian was a United States Army veteran having served during the Vietnam era. He retired after 30 years as a machinist with Caterpillar and was an avid fisherman.

He is survived by one sister Lynne Willey, of Washington, Ill.; one son, David Gaffney (and wife Nickie); one daughter, Kelly Gaffney, all of Peoria, Ill.; six grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
