To the editor:

The Trigg County Historical Society would like to express our sincere thanks to all the kind people in Trigg and surrounding areas that donated items for the Historical Auction held March 2 at the Complex. It was a big success.

The auction, barbeque, burgoo, general store and desserts brought in over $13,000, plus monetary donations we received before the auction were over $3,000.

We didn’t sell all the donated items, so we are planning another auction in May. Date to be announced later.

The auction committee, Joann, Johnnie, Ken, Mildred and Janie would like to say thank you to all for donating, bidding, eating and helping the Historical Society move closer to our goal of $25,000 to restore the 1850 Masonic Lodge in downtown Cadiz.

Joann Harvey, Trigg County Historical Society Auction Committee Chairperson
