Trigg County DECA students advance to international competition

Trigg County High School DECA students competed at the DECA State Career Development Conference in Louisville, Kentucky from March 10th through 12th. Nine students qualified to go to the DECA International Career Development Conference in Anaheim, California. Of the nine students, eight are going to attend ICDC. The results are as follows:

Buying and Merchandising Business Operations Research

Heather Hall and Hannah Major – 2nd Place

Entrepreneurship Written

Jayven Jones, Alyssa Choate and X’Zashea Mayes – 3rd Place

Financial Services Team Decision Making

Madison Lane and Taylor Ward = 2nd Place

Hospitality Services Team Decision Making

Taylor Butts and Hannah Futrell – 3rd Place

Also making it in the top 8 and being recognized on stage:

Corbin Estes and Cole Gardner – Financial Services Team Decision Making

Sarah Embry – Automotive Services

Sam Chaney – Principles of Hospitality
