Many local businesses, restaurants and recreational areas placed well in the 2013 “Best in Kentucky” list, which is put out every year by Kentucky Living Magazine and is in their April issue.

Cadiz and Trigg County took first place in 12 of the 25 categories and were within the top three in 14 other categories.

Cadiz was said to be the best place to go antiquing, the Futrell House Bed and Breakfast was the named the best bed and breakfast, the Janice Mason Art Museum was the winner in the museum category and the Trigg County Country Ham Festival was named the best festival in the state.

“Cadiz is very well represented in several categories this year and we at the Tourist Commission are very pleased,” said Bill Stevens, executive director of the Cadiz-Trigg County Tourist and Convention Commission. “We have worked hard to get the word out about all the wonderful attributes of City and County and continue to invite people to visit Cadiz and Trigg County.”
