“Pam’s Pick” this week is a mystery. “Killer Honeymoon” by G.A. McKevett, this is a Savannah Reid mystery. Savannah is on her honeymoon, a trip of fun, rum drinks and sun. And it is until a dead body is found on the beach. Welcome to the honeymoon from … well you know!

“Pam’s Non-fiction Pick” is a book everyone will enjoy. “Works from the White House” by Paul Dickson, this book has words and phrases coined or made popular by America’s Presidents. Words like: “iffy” by Roosevelt, “belittle” by Jefferson and many more.

New Fiction: “The Kiss” by James Patterson, and Jill Dembowski, this is book four in the Witch & Wizard series. Wisty and Whitt who have inspired countless imaginations must rally together before the world they fought to save collapses.

“Forbidden Sister” by V.C. Andrews, this is the first a new series. Emmie was only six when her older sister Roxy was thrown out of their apartment. Now she wants to find the sister from long ago.

“The Sixth Station” by Linda Stasi, this is the story of the trial of the millennium. Is Demiel ben Yusef a dangerous terrorist accused of killing thousands or the man of peace, a miracle worker? Is he the Second Coming or Revelation’s Antichrist?

“The Children of Kings” by Marion Zimmer Bradley and Deborah J. Ross, this is a novel of Darkover. Gareth holds the key to protecting his world. If he can only stay alive in the deadly Dry Towns long enough to discover what it is.

New Mystery: “Bad Blood” by Dana Stabenow, this is a Kate Shugak novel. Dana is called in to investigate a murder between two tribes, when Sergeant Jim can’t get anyone to talk. When a second body is found it is beginning to look like a revenge killing. Can Dana sort out the truth hidden in the tales of tragedy and revenge?

New Christian Fiction: “Damascus Countdown” by Joel C. Rosenberg, CIA operative David Shirazi and his team are in a race against time to find nuclear warheads before the most cataclysmic event in history comes to pass.

“Truth Stained Lies” by Terri Blackstock, this is the first book in the Moonlighters series. Cathy Cramer is a former lawyer and investigative blogger who writes commentary on high-profile homicides. Her brother’s wife is murdered and all the ‘facts’ point to him. The killer has staged the crime to make the truth too far-fetched to believe. Working to solve the murder and clear her brother’s name, Cathy and her two sisters, Holly and Juliet, moonlight as part-time private investigators.

New Large Print: “Sea Change” by Karen White, this book will take you on a heartfelt journey. Ava elopes after a whirlwind romance and moves to St. Simons Island. But escape is not easy as she soon realizes. Could her past undo her future?

“A Texan’s Promise” by Shelley Gray, this is the first book in the Heart of a Hero series. Clayton must keep his promise to his former boss and protect his daughter from her stepfather. He takes her away from the ranch and the man she fears. They will need faith and courage to make it with her stepfather on their heels.

New Biographies: “Coolidge” by Amity Shlaes, this is the story of Calvin Coolidge, the president behind the era of remarkable growth for our nation.

“Congressman Lincoln” by Chris DeRose, this is the story of the making of America’s Greatest president. These are his early political career years and his surprising ascendancy that was both historic and far from foreseeable.

New Non-fiction: “Year-Round Slow Cooker Recipes” by Better Homes and Gardens, this book has more than 500 recipes for all seasons.

“Vintage Wedding Style” by Elizabeth Demos, this book has more than 25 simple projects and endless inspiration for designing your wedding.

“Do Life” by Ben Davis, from the creator of “My 120-Pound Journey,” this book shows how to run better, go farther, and find happiness.

“Slim for Life” by Jillian Michaels, this book is full of insider secrets to simple, fast, and lasting weight loss.

“The Last Outlaws” by Thom Hatch, this is the story of the lives and legends of Butch Cassidy and The Sundance Kid.

“Inside Rehab” by Anne M. Fletcher, this is the surprising truth about addiction treatment and how to get help that works.

“The Politics Book” by DK Publishing, this is an essential reference for students and anyone wondering how politics works.
