Award winners announced at the breakfast included Donna McNichols, who was awarded the Paul Harris Fellowship, and Sharon Butts, who was named Rotarian of the Year.
A special memorium was presented to the W.J. Hopson family. Hopson, a charter Cadiz Rotarian in 1966, passed away in January.
Guest speakers included Trigg County High School grads and Rotary scholarship and grant recipients Jennifer McGill and DePaul Hendricks, as well as Relissa Torian, whose daughters Rizpah, Prudence and Abigail each received Rotary scholarships and grants.
The keynote speaker was H.K. Derryberry, a Nashville-area resident, who was joined by Jim Bradford, a Rotary member in Brentwood, Tenn.
Derryberry, 22, was born at six months after his mother was in an automobile accident. Doctors gave family members a choice – try to save the child or allow him to pass on with his mother, who had been declared brain dead. The family was also informed that the child, if he survived, would live with disabilities.
