Clayton Earhart died of natural causes at 3:35 a.m. on Wednesday, April 10, 2013, at Jennie Stuart Medical Center in Hopkinsville.
Clayton was born on Nov. 27, 1940, in Dover, Tenn., to Robert Calvin and Mary Dovie Page Earhart.
He was of the Protestant faith. Clayton worked as a truck driver and was a lifetime member of the Owner and Operator Independent Drivers Association.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by one sister, Dorothy Jean Earhart; and grandson, Wesley Page.
Clayton is survived by his wife Yvonne Earhart of Cadiz; five sons, Landon Earhart of Cadiz, Clayton Earhart, Jr. of Matthews, Mo., Brent Earhart of Ore., Michael Earhart and David Earhart; two daughters, Sandra Taylor of Dover, Tenn. and Amanda Earhart of Ore.; one stepson, Chuck Earhart; three stepdaughters, Danna Farrenburg, Donna Sullenger and Nastassi Rugger; and a number of stepsons, stepdaughters and numerous grandchildren.
