The new Trigg County Health and Wellness Center, which sits on the former Cadiz United Methodist Church building, opened at 1 p.m. on Monday to patients for primary care services, said Jodi Brewer of Trigg County Hospital.

Alisa Coleman, CEO of Trigg County Hospital, said they are already at full capacity when it comes to providers, with one physician and two nurse practitioners already based out of the new Wellness Center.

The rehabilitation department, which is housed in the former sanctuary, will open to patients on Monday, said Coleman. She went on to say that there are currently nine exam rooms – three for each provider.

“We are looking forward to an addition at the back of the Wellness Center in the form of additional space for physicians,” Coleman said. “That is coming probably next year sometime.”

The hospital is already planning a $500,000 expansion to the Health and Wellness Center using a Community Development Block Grant, Coleman said.
