Trigg County held a 1-0 lead at Lyon County until the third inning, and the Lady Lyons took over from there, topping the Lady Wildcats 6-1.

Arianna Brown scored on a double by Brittney Hallgren to put Trigg on the board, but the Lady ‘Cats managed only two other hits in the game. Alison Russell pitched a complete game, walking two and striking out three.

The loss drops Trigg’s overall record to 4-6 and its 5th District mark to 0-4. A doubleheader May 14 at Crittenden County will likely determine the third and fourth seeds in the district tournament.

Trigg was set to play Tuesday at Dawson Springs (results unavailable at press time) before playing a doubleheader Thursday at Todd County Central, traveling Friday to Caldwell County and Saturday to Webster County. Trigg will then host Mayfield on Monday and play next Tuesday at Hopkinsville.
