Last Tuesday, the Wildcats had no trouble at Dawson, topping the Panthers 21-2. Caleb McIntosh pitched a complete game, striking out six. Brandon Wilson drove in five runs, Hunter Allen and Corbin Estes each drove in two, and six other Wildcats each drove in a run.
Thursday, Trigg won a pitcher’s duel in Draffenville 3-1 over the Marshals. Wilson pitched the first three innings and Tyler Estes the final four, with the pair combining to allow only three hits. Ean Sholar drove in a pair of runs.
Friday, the ‘Cats struggled in the field, committing six errors in a 10-4 loss at Hopkinsville. Nick Allen drove in two runs for Trigg.
Trigg was scheduled to play Tuesday at Caldwell County (results unavailable at press time) before playing Thursday at Russellville, hosting Webster County on Friday and McLean County on Saturday and then traveling Monday to Mayfield.
Saturday’s game against McLean County is set for 1 p.m., followed by the annual Alumni Game at 5 p.m.
