BASEBALL: Wildcats on three-game winning streak

Trigg County will be the No. 2 seed when it hosts the 5th District Tournament on Monday and Tuesday at the Trigg County Recreation Complex.

Schedules will be set Wednesday, but top-seed Crittenden County is expected to face Lyon County in Monday’s first game, followed by the Wildcats and Livingston Central. The championship will likely be played Tuesday.

Heading into Thursday’s season finale against University Heights Academy, the ‘Cats are on a three-game winning streak after a 3-2 win last Tuesday at Caldwell County, a 5-3 win Thursday at Russellville and Monday’s 12-2 win over Webster County.
