The Trigg County Fiscal Court unanimously approved the county’s budget for the 2013/2014 fiscal year when it met Monday evening.

The budget sits at $7,103,639. Of that total, $3,621,883 was allocated to the General Fund, $1,763,073 was allocated to the Road Fund, $499,800 was allocated to the Jail Fund, which was approved earlier this year, $692,883 was allocated to the Trigg County Sheriff’s Office Fund and $26,000 was allocated to the LGEA (Local Government Economic Assistance) Fund.

Trigg County Treasurer Lucy Oliver said that the bottom line itself hasn’t changed from the first reading, and added that there were some minor changes from the current budget.

“There were little changes that needed to be made from the standpoint of the Department of Local Government,” Oliver said. “They requested that one of our accounts be split into two different accounts.”
