“Trails are a great way to enjoy America’s Great Outdoors,” commented Kyle Varel, Assistant Trails Manager at LBL. “Land Between The Lakes offers hikers, bikers, and riders, both four-legged and four-wheeled, hundreds of miles of scenic trails.”
Join in the celebration by biking or hiking a section of the 11-mile Central Hardwoods Scenic Trail that runs east to west across LBL. Trail staff will be available at the Golden Pond Visitor Center from 8 a.m. - 12 noon to introduce you to all the new trailheads along this route and answer any questions.
“The new LBL Trails bracelets will also be available for purchase at the Visitor Center. These bracelets are made from parachute cord, cost $10, and proceeds support trail maintenance and enhancement projects,” explained Emily Schmadeke, Friends of LBL Volunteer Coordinator.
