Trigg County’s baseball team finished the 2013 season with a 25-12 record after losing 11-1 to Henderson County in the 2nd Region Tournament last week in Madisonville.

Ben Wigand and Tyler Estes each had singles for the Wildcats, and Tyler Allen drove in Trigg’s only run with a sacrifice fly in the fifth inning. Allen allowed eight runs (five earned) in three innings of work, and Brandon Wilson pitched three innings and allowed three runs (two earned).

It was the final game in the high school careers of seniors Nick Allen, Dillon Dawson, Trace Kuberski and David Wease.

Wigand and Kuberski were each named to the All-2nd Region Tournament Team. Kuberski, who finished second in voting for region player of the year, has been selected to play in the 2013 East/West All-Star Game in Louisville later this month.
