A 4-mile connector route north of Cadiz from U.S. 68/Ky. 80 to Ky. 778 (Will Jackson Road) is estimated to cost $15 million, while the widening of 5.195 miles of U.S. 68/Ky. 80 from the Lake Barkley State Resort Park entrance is estimated to cost $11.9 miles.
PADD’s Regional Transportation Committee voted on the priorities list – which includes projects Caldwell, Christian, Crittenden, Hopkins, Livingston, Lyon, Muhlenberg, Todd and Trigg counties – when they met at the PADD Regional Office in Hopkinsville on the morning of Thursday, May 30.
Trigg County Judge Executive Hollis Alexander was at that meeting and was pleased that Trigg County had two projects on the top 10 list, and he hopes moneys will be available for those two projects.
“I was pleased with that ranking,” he said. “I’m new to the process … and I don’t know exactly what timeline we’re looking at, but I think being ranked No. 3 and No. 6 … that puts us way up the ladder.”
