Approximately $12,980 was raised for Trigg County Hospital’s digital mammography unit during the third annual “Hee Haw” fundraiser, held Saturday night in the Trigg County Schools Cafeteria by the Trigg County Hospital Foundation.

Trigg County Hospital Human Resources Director Janet James says that is about $2,500 short of last year’s event. “What an awesome display of support by the people of Trigg County,” said James. “Trigg Countians are some of the most generous people I know!”

The attendance for this year was 192, not including volunteers like the lighting and sound crew, the 13 football players who served the food and others, so there were well over 200 people there, said James.

“We got on this project because we were talking with Lisa Coleman, the administrator, about what we could do as far as a project for the Hospital Foundation,” said TCHF President Alan Watts, also of WKDZ. “That was back in the planning stages for the mammography unit.”
