Funeral services for Amos Winfield, 85, of Cadiz, will be held at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, July 3, 2013, at Goodwin Funeral Home in Cadiz. The Revs. Wayne Glass and Kyle Kyle Noffsinger will officiate. Burial will follow in the Little River Cemetery in Trigg County. Goodwin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.

Amos Winfield died on Sunday, June 30, 2013, at Trigg County Hospital in Cadiz.

He was a member of Delmont Baptist Church. Amos was a retired Civil Service employee where he was a boiler operator.

Amos was preceded in death by his parents, John Erwin and Mary Taylor Winfield; brothers James Thomas Winfield and Charley Ray Winfield; sister Pamela L. Byrd; and son-in-law Barry Gray.

He is survived by his wife, Betty Ricks Winfield of Hopkinsville; brother Billy Winfield (and wife Dorothy) of Evansville, Ind.; sons, Jimmy Winfield (and wife Carol) of Cadiz, Donnie Winfield of Hopkinsville and Tony Winfield (and wife Kathy), also of Hopkinsville; daughter Penny Jones (and husband Ricky) of Cadiz; grandchildren Barry Daniel and Terri Winfield, James Brian and Stephanie Winfield, Kayla and Matthew Phillips, Will Winfield and Kimberly Jones; great-grandchildren Eva Elizabeth Winfield, Jamus Brian Winfield, MacKayla Phillips, Peyton Phillips, Reed Phillips, Rhylan Johnson, Mylee Jones and Dustin Winfield.
