Geneva Futrell died of natural causes at 5:45 a.m. on Sunday, July 7, 2013, at Arden Courts Memory Care Center in Geneva, Ill.
She was born on July 4, 1921, in Stewart County Tenn., to the late Cordis E. Fox and Katie B. Ross Fox.
Geneva was a member of Donaldson Creek Baptist Church and she was a homemaker.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her first husband, Geoffrey Dale Outland; second husband Floyd Olan Futrell; sister Cornella L. Tish; son Ronnie Olan Futrell; step-son Floyd Allen Futrell.
Geneva is survived by one brother, Jesse Edward Fox (and wife Ann) of Hazel; two sisters, Betty Ruth Watson of Hammond, Ind. and Nola Jewell (and husband Rex Howell) of Washington, Ill.; one daughter, Virginia Fulton (and husband Howard) of Batavia, Ill.; two grandchildren, Steve and Lai Fulton of Elgin, Ill. and Sandra and Mike Andress of New Berlin, Wisc.; step-grandson Nathan Futrell of Arizona; three great-grandchildren, Melody Walker and Charles Walker, both of New Berlin, Wisc. and Nathan Fulton of Elgin, Ill.; and a number of nieces and nephews.
Serving as pallbearers will be Marty Hunter, Butch Thomas, Rickie Knight, Ricky Joiner, Tim Holder and Bro. Russ Thomas. Music will be provided by Rose Bush, pianist; Melody Walker, violinist; Sandra Andress, pianist and Steve Fulton, guitar.
