Jewel Denny died of natural causes at 7 a.m. on Tuesday, July 9, 2013, at her home.
She was born on Dec. 31, 1932, in Dover, Tenn., to the late Fred and Marie Frith Harris.
Jewel was of the Baptist faith and was a homemaker.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Fred Denny on June 8, 2013; five brothers, William Harris, John Harris, Newton Harris, Lynn Harris and Milford Harris; and sister Sara Florence Harris.
She is survived by one sister, Delores Nicoletti, Detroit, Mich.; daughter Judy Pool of Cerulean; two sons, Dr. Ted Denny (and wife Trish) of Clarksville, Tenn. and Bruce Denny of Clarksville, Tenn.; grandchildren Dana Michelle Denny Lannom, Kimberly Dawn Denny Owens, Michael David Denny, Matthew Douglas Denny, Aprile Brooke Denny, Ashley Ann Denny, Baylee Grace Denny, Stephen Andrew Lee Pool, Stephany Jewel Elece Pool and Andra Elece Lane Pool; great-grandchildren Sara Beth Lannom, Joshua David Lannom, Jonah Martin Lannom, Kirsten Faith Owens, Kylie Hope Owens, Kenzie Grave Owens, Cali Alayah Elece Jones, Cashlin Evan Arie Jones and Spence Allen Lee Pool.
Serving as pallbearers were Ty Wadlington, Drew Pool, Mark Harris, Ricky Joiner, Jamie Payne and Johnny Harris. Music was provided by Mark Harris, vocalist.
