The annual Trigg County Country Ham Festival, scheduled for two days instead of three this year, will be here in no time, and it is starting to shape up.

When the committee met Monday afternoon, they outlined some of the entertainment scheduled for Friday, Oct. 11, and Saturday, Oct. 12, this year, and presented the design for the Ham Festival t-shirts. It will be the first year that there will be no Sunday festivities.

Ham Festival Entertainment Chair Bill Booth – also of WKDZ – outlined a few of the entertainers that will perform but said there will be more still. He said they have some great acts already lined up for the Country Ham Jam on Saturday night.

“Our headliner for Saturday night is a country act that’s had 11 top 10 hits. His name’s Sammy Kershaw. In addition, we’ll have family friendly comedian Rik Roberts, magician Mark Conley, Leith Lofton from Nashville, who will be performing with his band, and WKDZ Texaco Country Showdown winner Clint Freeman, who lives in Adams, Tenn.”
